Join us at the height of summer for a celebration of the soft fruit season and learn how we use the abundance of soft fruits from the Market Garden to make our own ice cream.
In this workshop, you will forage through the grounds and gather a selection of ripe berries before returning to the glasshouse to explore their unique characteristics, flavours and uses. Guided by our chefs, you'll learn how to select and prepare berries at their peak, discovering techniques to balance sweetness, perfume, and acidity when cooking with soft fruit.
The freshly gathered berries will be made into a vibrant, simple ice cream using dairy from our Guernsey cows, capturing the flavours of the season with a taste of summer straight from the churn, that will be served for you to try.
